Special Education Teacher - Anoka, Minnesota

Make a real impact as an educator supporting K-12 students with physical and health disabilities for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position is based on-site and focuses on helping students access their fullest potential through expert guidance, collaboration, and specialized instruction. If you have specialized training in special education, particularly with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement, your skills can enrich student learning and growth in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education licensure with a Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement
• Experience working as a Teacher of the Physically Impaired, ideally serving K-12 populations
• Deep knowledge of curriculum adaptations, assistive technologies, and accessibility in educational settings
• Strong background in functional evaluations and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, therapists, and educators

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an itinerant support resource, providing consultations on modifying curriculum, classroom accessibility, and utilization of assistive technology
• Conduct thorough functional evaluations for students, draft and implement IEPs, and consistently monitor student progress
• Cooperate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and classroom teachers to ensure students receive comprehensive support
• Maintain accurate due process records and adhere to required documentation standards

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, August 24, 2026 – May 28, 2027
• On-site commitment required
• Caseload: K-12, primarily consultation-focused
