Exciting opportunities await dedicated Special Education Teachers seeking dynamic roles supporting students across the district for the 2026/2027 school year! Full-time contract positions are available, offering a chance to make a positive impact in diverse school settings and collaborate with talented multidisciplinary teams.

Currently, multiple openings are available for the following specialties:

  • Special Education Assessment Teacher: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assist with eligibility determinations, write detailed reports, and contribute to compliant IEP development.
  • Special Education Teacher – Setting III/IV (Restore Program): Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support for high school students in a therapeutic environment, utilizing trauma-informed practices and crisis prevention strategies.
  • Elementary ASD Center-Based Special Education Teacher: Support elementary students in center-based Autism Spectrum Disorder programs, focusing on structured teaching, visual and sensory strategies, and strong behavior management within inclusive classrooms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (or related field)
  • Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility for reciprocity
  • Experience developing and managing IEPs and monitoring student progress
  • Solid understanding of IDEA, special education compliance, and case management
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Special Education assessments, PBIS/MTSS, FBAs, BIPs, and case management
  • Work in ASD, EBD, or Setting III/IV classrooms
  • Supporting students with behavioral and/or developmental disabilities at both elementary and secondary levels

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
  • Deliver engaging, specially designed instruction aligned with student needs
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
