Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Prior experience or strong interest in teaching students with Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) needs at the elementary level
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging lessons for diverse learners
- Demonstrated skill in IEP development, student assessment, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication abilities for collaborating with families, support personnel, and teaching teams
- Professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative teaching philosophy
- Submission of an up-to-date resume is mandatory for consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for an ABS caseload of elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages each child’s development
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Participate in team meetings, staff development, and relevant training opportunities
This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistency while supporting your work-life balance.
