Key Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Prior experience or strong interest in teaching students with Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) needs at the elementary level
  • Ability to create inclusive, engaging lessons for diverse learners
  • Demonstrated skill in IEP development, student assessment, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication abilities for collaborating with families, support personnel, and teaching teams
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative teaching philosophy
  • Submission of an up-to-date resume is mandatory for consideration

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction for an ABS caseload of elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
  • Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages each child’s development
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and relevant training opportunities

This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistency while supporting your work-life balance.
