You will be part of a team serving students from elementary through high school, utilizing evidence-based strategies within a Setting 4 program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license—Tier 3 or Tier 4 only (required for consideration)
- Prior experience in high-needs Special Education settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support students with significant behavioral and developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and resilience working with complex caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized special education instruction, adapting to a broad range of student needs in a Setting 4 environment
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Employ de-escalation strategies and proactive behavior supports to ensure a safe, supportive classroom
- Maintain accurate records and data for progress monitoring and compliance purposes
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required
