Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by stepping into a Special Education teaching contract serving a center-based classroom at Armstrong High School. This role covers a backfill need and calls for a dedicated, compassionate educator to support students with developmental cognitive disabilities in a supportive, collaborative environment. Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential, specifically in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
• Experience working in special education settings, preferably with center-based classrooms
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt strategies to a variety of learner needs
• Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills when working with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom culture

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver specialized instruction to meet IEP goals for each student
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other educational staff to create a dynamic learning environment
• Oversee documentation and progress monitoring for your caseload
• Develop and implement classroom activities tailored to a range of abilities
• Partner with families and local agencies to ensure comprehensive student support
• Uphold compliance with MN special education laws and district guidelines
