This role covers a backfill need and calls for a dedicated, compassionate educator to support students with developmental cognitive disabilities in a supportive, collaborative environment. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential, specifically in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
- Experience working in special education settings, preferably with center-based classrooms
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt strategies to a variety of learner needs
- Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills when working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom culture
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver specialized instruction to meet IEP goals for each student
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other educational staff to create a dynamic learning environment
- Oversee documentation and progress monitoring for your caseload
- Develop and implement classroom activities tailored to a range of abilities
- Partner with families and local agencies to ensure comprehensive student support
- Uphold compliance with MN special education laws and district guidelines
