Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN

Seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education professional to provide support in a center-based classroom environment within a high school setting. Requirements & Desired Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
• Experience working with students in a center-based classroom preferred
• Proven ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to commit to an on-site position (remote work is not an option for this role)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs), track progress, and adjust strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive learning environment
• Ensure student safety and promote a respectful, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance requirements as outlined by the district
