Special Education Teacher - Anoka, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience supporting students with autism, developmental disabilities, or unique learning profiles preferred
• Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations
• Capability to adapt lessons and environments for diverse student needs
• Collaborative mindset for working with paraprofessionals, other teachers, and related service staff
• Excellent communication skills to build productive relationships with families and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver core and specialized instruction in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Track student progress, complete documentation, and report regularly on objectives
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and related program planning
• Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom climate supporting social, emotional, and academic growth
• Adapt learning resources and classroom activities to individual students’ strengths and needs
• Contribute to professional development and ongoing program improvements
