Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota

Make a meaningful impact as a full-time Special Education Teacher working with students identified with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). This contract role is located in a supportive school environment for the academic year, beginning September 18, 2026 and concluding June 10, 2027. You'll be based within a Setting II/III/center base at a middle school, providing essential academic and behavioral support to a caseload of students who benefit from your expertise and dedication.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Previous experience working with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) highly preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and related service providers
• Current resume outlining relevant experience and credentials

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction and behavioral interventions for middle school students with EBD
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to provide access to the general education environment
• Manage and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including assessment and documentation
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate, balancing structure and flexibility
• Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Maintain compliance with district and state special education regulations
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
