Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN

This contract position offers an impactful opportunity at a specialized learning center serving elementary through high school students with the highest needs in a Setting 4 caseload. Your expertise will provide essential structure and support for students who experience significant behavioral and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Proven experience working with students with behavioral and/or severe disabilities, preferably in Setting 4 or equivalent environments
• Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
• Commitment to structured, individualized, and compassionate instruction
• Collaborative mindset for working within a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with complex needs
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom climate
• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to address diverse learning styles and abilities
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and positive behavioral supports
• Collaborate with related service staff, families, and administrators to ensure holistic student support
• Maintain accurate student records, progress documentation, and comply with all special education regulations

Position Details:

• Full-time, contracted role with a Monday-Friday schedule
• 37.5 hours per week, supporting students from elementary to high school
• Start date: September 25, 2026; End date: June 10, 2027
• Located at a well-resourced learning center dedicated to serving students with severe needs
