Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students by supporting their unique learning needs in a dedicated, center-based special education setting. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator eager to work closely with students with emotional and behavioral disorders. With a manageable caseload of approximately 11 students, you’ll have the opportunity to provide focused, individualized instruction throughout the school year, beginning as soon as possible and extending through early June, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 or Tier 2 accepted, Tier 3 or Tier 4 preferred)
  • Licensure in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in a special education setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, families, and support staff

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored instruction to a center-based elementary caseload
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student’s unique strengths and needs
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
  • Work proactively with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth and progress
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers, providing updates on student development
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
