A California school district is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, direct hire position supports a Special Day Class (SDC) serving Kindergarten and 1st grade students. Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support to K-1 students in an SDC classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Adapt and modify general education curriculum to accommodate various learning abilities and challenges.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Offer academic, social, and emotional support to students in alignment with best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching credential for the state of California.
• Experience working in Special Day Class settings is preferred.
• Strong classroom management techniques and excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
