Key Qualifications:
- Holds an active California Special Education teaching credential
- Experience working with students in SDC environments preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school support staff
- Skilled in classroom management, communication, and fostering positive relationships
- Committed to adapting curriculum to meet a variety of student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Kindergarten and 1st grade students within the SDC classroom
- Develop and implement effective, individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Modify and adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure student success
- Offer academic, social, and emotional support to promote each child’s growth
- Maintain full compliance with federal and state special education guidelines and reporting
