Your work will focus on designing, developing, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that adhere to both IDEA and Illinois state guidelines. Strong communication is essential—you’ll collaborate frequently with parents, colleagues, and administrative teams to ensure each student’s success and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement is necessary
- Previous classroom experience is preferred, with a solid foundation in special education
- Well-versed in current instructional methodologies, educational strategies, and best practices
- Deep understanding of child development theories and their application in the classroom
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement IEPs and BIPs compliant with all state and federal guidelines
