Special Education Teacher | Antioch, Tennessee

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Tennessee Special Education License with appropriate endorsements (459, 465, 468, 2000, 2001)
• TN SPED endorsement required; highly qualified candidates may add a PreK endorsement by completing the Praxis exam (exam cost covered)
• Specialized knowledge and genuine interest in working with PreK students with diverse needs
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and classroom management skills
• Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a PreK special education caseload, ensuring all students receive personalized, high-quality instruction
• Design and execute lesson plans aligned with IEP goals, state standards, and best practices in early childhood special education
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to promote holistic student development
• Track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed, and document outcomes for compliance and communication
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom climate that encourages growth and confidence
