Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (state-specific)
• Previous experience working in a special education classroom, preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and educational best practices
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
• Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored lesson plans and activities for students with varying exceptionalities
• Develop, implement, and regularly assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Track progress and maintain accurate documentation of student performance and behavioral goals
• Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates and resources to promote student growth
• Adapt instructional techniques and materials to meet varied learning styles and needs
