Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Hold current State Teaching Certification in Special Education
• Background in serving elementary, middle, or high school students
• Valid teaching license
• Strong understanding of individualized education plan (IEP) development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver customized instruction that addresses the unique needs of each student
• Develop, maintain, and monitor IEPs while tracking student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for effective inclusion
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles
• Provide behavioral and academic interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
