Key Qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate
  • Proven understanding of special education procedures, compliance, and IEP development
  • Experience with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum design and instruction
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and staff
  • Ability to maintain organized, accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and carry out individualized educational programs (IEPs) for young learners with diverse needs
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary to promote growth
  • Partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment
  • Engage families in the educational process through regular communication and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Participate in school meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as required
