This contract position is perfect for an experienced Special Education professional eager to focus exclusively on managing and facilitating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, free from direct instructional duties. Located near Arlington Heights, IL, you will act as a key liaison between families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful IEP coordination for a diverse student population.

What You’ll Do:

  • Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings for students receiving special education services
  • Coordinate communication flow between families, staff, and specialist teams
  • Ensure IEP documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted within deadlines
  • Maintain comprehensive student records and oversee special education processes
  • Collaborate with staff to support both state and federal special education requirements
  • Utilize IEP management systems (including Embrace and CPS platforms) for documentation and workflow
  • Take on case management functions, supporting procedural compliance and seamless execution

Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education certification required
  • Birth–21 Special Education certification strongly preferred; all active Special Education certifications accepted
  • Prior experience as a Case Manager, IEP Coordinator, ARD Facilitator, or similar is ideal
  • Hands-on experience with Embrace and Chicago Public Schools (CPS) IEP systems preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and documentation capabilities
  • Confidence in managing competing priorities and coordinating multiple meetings

Role Specifics:

  • 30 hours per week, full-time schedule
  • Dedicated IEP coordination, case management, and compliance focus
  • No direct classroom instructional responsibilities
