Key Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Demonstrated experience or training in cross-categorical special education settings
  • Ability to deliver differentiated instruction and design lessons for students with diverse academic, communication, adaptive, and functional needs
  • Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), social-emotional learning strategies, and communication tools
  • Skill in collaborating closely with related service providers and paraeducators
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop lesson plans that integrate IEP goals with grade-level curriculum
  • Utilize visual, sensory, and structured teaching supports to maximize student engagement
  • Implement behavioral and social-emotional interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor student progress and document growth toward academic and functional outcomes
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive
  • Collaborate daily with program aides, 1:1 support staff, and related service professionals to ensure all instructional and support needs are met
