Special Ed Teacher | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education for K-5 or eligibility in Illinois
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or working in resource settings is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and case management
• Ability to implement targeted interventions and instructional modifications
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Background in executive functioning coaching and academic skill development is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Support K-5 students within the general education setting using push-in and pull-out instructional models
• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals and grade-level curriculum
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide accommodations and ensure access to instructional content
• Track student progress, document outcomes, and maintain up-to-date records as required by the IEP process
• Engage families, related service providers, and team members in IEP meetings and ongoing communications
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed
