Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements
- Experience working with K-8th grade students in inclusive or resource settings
- Understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement individualized goals
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable and considered a significant asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of students with varying abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide both direct classroom instruction and resource support as assigned
- Monitor, track, and communicate student progress and adapt methods as needed
- Maintain organized records and meet compliance requirements in a timely manner
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and inclusion
