With a start date of August 11th, you’ll serve as an LBS1 Teacher, guiding 2nd and 3rd graders with a focus on individualized instruction and social-emotional development.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
• Autism endorsement or hands-on experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly preferred
• Background or comfort with self-contained classroom settings
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
• Dedication to evidence-based teaching strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for nurturing student strengths and facilitating communication with families and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement specialized instruction for a small group of 2nd and 3rd grade students with autism
• Develop and monitor progress on IEPs, adjusting goals and approaches as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraeducators, therapists, and related services to maximize student success
• Maintain open, ongoing communication with parents and guardians
• Participate in school-based meetings, team planning, and ongoing professional development
