As a push-in Learning Behavior Specialist, you’ll work hand-in-hand with general education teachers, providing in-class support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). In addition, you’ll have the chance to foster growth through small-group pull-out instruction, tailoring strategies to unlock each student’s greatest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification to teach Special Education
- Bilingual proficiency required
- Experience collaborating with both general education teachers and special education professionals
- Knowledge of IEP implementation and documentation
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in support within the general education classroom, adapting instruction to meet IEP goals
- Provide targeted interventions through small group pull-out sessions
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, families, and specialists to develop individualized instructional plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate student progress toward IEP objectives
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning climate
- Participate in IEP meetings and regularly collaborate to advocate for student needs
