In this fulfilling contract position, you’ll partner closely with K-4 students, guiding them academically and emotionally in both resource and general education settings. Enjoy a consistent full-time Monday through Friday schedule, working collaboratively with other educators and making a real difference in students' growth and success throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator’s License (PEL) or a comparable out-of-state teaching license; if licensed out of state, be prepared to complete the ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) process.
  • Experience supporting K-4 students in special education, particularly within resource and inclusion models.
  • Training or certification in Orton Gillingham, SLANT, Wilson, Sonday, or similar programs is highly valued.
  • Commitment to fostering both academic and social/emotional growth for a caseload of 8-12 students.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Must be available to work onsite only.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction during pull-out resource periods and provide support in general education classrooms.
  • Customize strategies to meet individual student learning goals and IEP objectives.
  • Maintain thorough records and collaborate with teaching teams, related service providers, and families.
  • Champion an inclusive and welcoming classroom culture.
