Special Education Teacher - Arlington Heights, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact in the field of education as a Special Education Teacher serving K-12 students. This contract-to-hire opportunity is for the 2026-2027 academic year, spanning from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027. Multiple roles, including both 1:1 and classroom support positions, may be available. Candidates selected for these positions will begin their tenure as W-2 contractors. Exceptional performance can lead to the option of continued employment directly with the district following the contract term.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) certification required
• Previous experience working with K–12 students in a special education setting strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and instructional differentiation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and creativity in supporting diverse learning needs
• Ability to provide both one-on-one guidance and classroom-based support

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized education plans and instructional strategies for students with varying abilities
• Collaborate with fellow educators, aides, and support staff to ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and participate in IEP meetings
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches as necessary
• Maintain timely records, reports, and compliance documentation as required
