Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements for special education (PreK–age 22).
• At least three years of professional experience working in special education, with a strong background in early childhood.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws and procedures.
• Expertise in managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and facilitating IEP meetings.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as both instructional leader and compliance facilitator for early childhood special education programs.
• Coach and mentor teachers to enhance instructional quality and improve student outcomes.
• Organize and lead IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with all required documentation.
• Collaborate regularly with building administrators, instructional coaches, and special education leaders to expand and refine services for students with disabilities.
• Guide staff in implementing best practices and innovative strategies for inclusive education.
• Remain up-to-date on legal requirements and advise on program improvements.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 32.5 hours per week during school hours
• Contract runs ASAP through May 27, 2027
