Special Education Teacher - Arlington Heights, Illinois

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid and current LBS1 certification (required)
• Prior experience working with primary grade students (K-2) highly preferred
• Background in supporting students with developmental disabilities, autism, and ADHD
• Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
• Contract position, not open to assistant-level providers

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Serve students in grades K-2 with a caseload of approximately 7-8
• Provide instruction and support tailored to students identified with DD, Autism, and ADHD
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student growth
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in compliance with school and state requirements
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Work at a single school site, ensuring consistent relationships and stability for students

Role Details:

• Anticipated start date: ASAP, continuing through the end of the school year
• Work 37.5-40 hours per week, depending on lunch scheduling
• Support provided in a stable, structured K-2 environment
