Special Education Teacher in Arlington, TX

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students' growth in a Functional Life Skills classroom, working with Pre-K through 8th grade caseloads. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-issued) required.
• Experience working with Functional Life Skills or self-contained special education settings preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive, supportive environment.
• Collaborative and professional communication skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptable and proactive, able to individualize instruction to meet a wide variety of learner needs.
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring.
• Candidates with experience spanning PK3-8th grade are highly encouraged to apply.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction in a Functional Life Skills setting, focusing on daily living, academic skills, and social-emotional growth.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and individualized instructional strategies.
• Track student progress and report outcomes to parents and staff.
• Foster a positive, patient, and structured classroom atmosphere.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student outcomes.
