Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse behavioral needs. Serving learners from ages 5 to 22, you'll support students across a broad range of grade levels (K–12) in a dynamic, specialized setting. Work collaboratively within small, self-contained classrooms—each with a maximum of 9 students—to provide individualized instruction and strategies that foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Your typical day runs from 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly. This role is perfect for passionate educators who are not only certified but also adaptable and confident in teaching multiple subjects. Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience instructing students in elementary, middle, and high school settings (grades K–12)
  • Strong classroom management skills working with severe and behaviorally challenged students
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across multiple subjects
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion and creating individualized learning plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction within self-contained classrooms
  • Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Apply effective behavioral management techniques to maintain a structured environment
  • Collaborate closely with support staff and families to ensure cohesive care and progress
  • Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation
  • Support students in developing life skills alongside academic achievement
