Certified Grades K - 5 Special Education Teacher - Arlington, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Hold current Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Demonstrated capability in managing and nurturing students with severe and behavioral needs
• Comfortable teaching multiple subject areas
• Skilled in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs across multiple subjects
• Collaborate with aides, therapists, and school staff to provide holistic student support
• Create and maintain a positive classroom culture promoting social and academic growth
• Implement behavioral intervention strategies consistent with student IEPs
• Monitor progress and adapt instruction to maximize student achievement
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student successes and areas for growth

Your Schedule:

• Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30am to 3:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week
