Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Active Colorado Department of Education Certificate with the proper endorsements for your area of expertise:
- Early Childhood Special Ed (for grades P3-2)
- Special Education Generalist or Educationally Handicapped for Affective Needs and Autism
- Additional qualifying endorsements (e.g., Trainable Child, Severe Needs, Physically Handicapped, Moderate Needs, Cognitive, Communication)
- Prior experience working with autism populations in a school district
- Willingness to complete background check and fingerprinting as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to students' IEPs within a new classroom setting
- Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions to meet evolving needs
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and uphold compliance with district and state special education guidelines
- Engage in professional development and actively participate in staff meetings and team activities
