Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting new classroom initiatives as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position offers an opportunity to guide K-12 learners in a dynamic setting where your expertise will be valued and expanded upon. With new classrooms being added, your work will contribute to creating engaging, inclusive educational experiences right from the start of the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Active Colorado Department of Education certification with appropriate endorsements for your area of expertise (Early Childhood Special Ed, Affective Needs, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, or Severe Needs/Life Skills—as detailed below)
  • Prior experience supporting students with Autism in a K-12 public school setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to completing district-mandated background checks and fingerprinting prior to start date

Endorsements/Categories considered:

  • Early Childhood Special Ed for grades P3-2
  • Special Education Generalist or appropriate endorsement for Affective Needs, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, or Severe Needs classrooms

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective instruction and individualized support to students in a self-contained or resource setting
  • Develop and implement IEPs, adapting lessons and assessments for diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate closely with school teams and families to foster student growth
  • Maintain accurate records and support compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Adapt to classroom assignments as determined prior to the school year
