You’ll join experienced teams collaborating to provide the highest level of care and instruction for students with a range of exceptionalities.
Opportunities include:
- Full-time Learning Specialist at Arapahoe Ridge (Structured Learning Services—students with significant autism and emotional needs)
- Full-time SSN Teacher (Significant Support Needs, center-based)
- Full-time Affective Needs (AN) Teacher at Cherry Drive Elementary (working with students facing severe emotional and behavioral disabilities, often ASD)
- Part-time Learning Specialists at Thunder Vista K-8 and Thornton High School (mild/moderate support positions)
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification with Special Education endorsement required
- Experience with self-contained and structured learning classrooms, particularly supporting students on the autism spectrum and those with significant emotional/behavioral needs
- Knowledge of using AAC devices, implementing life skills strategies, and adapting to varying communication and mobility levels
- Ability to de-escalate unsafe behaviors, build strong support systems, and manage classroom adults
- Comfortable working collaboratively with paras, co-teachers, and specialized services teams

- Foster a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment for elementary through high school students
- Build life skills and provide tailored instruction adapted to each student’s unique needs
