We’re seeking Special Education professionals ready to bring their expertise and passion to on-site roles supporting students with intensive needs. Multiple full-time positions are available at both the elementary and middle school levels, each offering unique opportunities to have meaningful impact.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Active Colorado DOE Certification with Special Education endorsement (required)
- Proven experience supporting students with significant autism needs and emotional disabilities
- Proficiency with AAC devices; strong preference for candidates with background in non-verbal communication supports
- Skilled in managing and collaborating with paraprofessionals and support staff
- Demonstrated success implementing life skills programs, data-driven interventions, and de-escalation strategies
- Exceptional communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing individualized instruction and behavioral support to students in structured, self-contained settings (K-2 Structured Learning Services or elementary Significant Support Needs classrooms)
- Designing and implementing IEPs tailored to each student’s needs and goals
- Building supportive, structured classroom environments that promote positive behavior and student adaptation to daily routines
- Leading and guiding paraprofessional teams to ensure consistency and quality in student support
- Collaborating with related service providers, educators, and families
- Collecting and utilizing student data to drive instructional adjustments
Opportunities are available at elementary and middle schools in Northglenn, Thornton, Westminster, and surrounding areas. Caseload details and age groups may vary depending on the role, with classroom populations ranging from 8–15 students and ample paraprofessional support.
