Special Education Teacher in Arvada, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Special Education Teaching Certificate required
• Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, Case Manager, or similar role
• Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), compliance, and goal setting
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
• Adaptability and creative problem-solving skills
• Prior school-based experience working with middle and/or high school students is advantageous

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Provide targeted instruction and differentiated support to meet diverse learning needs
• Advise and consult with general education teachers on effective accommodations and interventions
• Track student progress and document advancements in alignment with compliance requirements
• Lead or participate in IEP meetings, ensuring student-centered decision making
• Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with district and state policies
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment where all students can thrive
