Seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for supporting students to serve in a Special Education Resource role at the middle school level. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide vital support to a diverse student population in a dynamic academic environment. Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active CDE license or documentation from CDE’s COOL system (required for interview; must be attached with application)
- Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience in special education
- Resourceful, adaptive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a flexible team
- Commitment to upholding best practices and compliance within individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and specialized support to students with learning differences within a resource classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs and progress monitoring data
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and families to promote student achievement
- Offer advocacy and guidance for students, helping them thrive socially and academically
- Maintain accurate records and participate in all required meetings, trainings, and staff collaborations
This is a full-time, school-year position, providing 35 paid hours per week (with additional unpaid lunch time built in).
