Special Education Teacher | Arvada, Colorado

This contract position requires a Special Education Teacher with experience or credentials suitable for addressing mild to moderate caseloads for the upcoming academic year. You'll work onsite, joining a dedicated team committed to student growth and inclusion. The schedule offers a desirable work-life balance with a four-day workweek.

Qualifications:

• Active CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure
• Prior experience with school-based special education services, particularly at the elementary level
• Skilled in working with mild/moderate disabilities
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, support, and case management for K-5 students with mild/moderate disabilities
• Develop, adapt, and deliver differentiated lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals
• Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: August 20, 2026 | End Date: June 3, 2027
• 34 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
• No school on Mondays—enjoy a consistent long weekend
• Onsite at an elementary campus with a supportive and innovative team
