Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students at an elementary school with a mild to moderate caseload in the special education program. This onsite position offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and make a significant impact throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active CDE SPED licensure (required)
- Experience working with mild to moderate special education caseloads, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Flexible, resourceful, and committed to inclusive education
- Able to uphold confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Adapt and deliver instructional content for diverse learning abilities
- Track and document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster a supportive, positive learning environment in cooperation with classroom teachers and support staff
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as needed
Role Highlights:
- Contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 20, 2026, and ending June 3, 2027
- 34 hours per week, Tuesday–Friday (no school on Mondays), from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
