A rewarding opportunity is available for a passionate Special Education professional to provide dedicated classroom instruction at a vibrant middle school near Arvada, CO. This full-time, onsite contract role spans the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting a manageable caseload of ten students alongside a collaborative support team.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license or documentation showing active application (required for consideration)
- A minimum of one year’s classroom experience in special education settings
- Flexible team player, comfortable collaborating with paraeducators, specialists, and leadership
- Experience or capacity to work within a multidisciplinary support team (including BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, Psychologist/Social Worker)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group special education instruction for a middle school classroom of ten students
- Collaborate daily with two full-time paraeducators as well as peer mentors, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- Partner regularly with support staff (Behavioral Analyst, Speech & Language Pathologist, Occupational/Physical Therapist, School Psychologist/Social Worker) to develop and implement IEPs and targeted interventions
- Maintain compliance with district and state requirements for documentation, progress reporting, and student accommodation
- Foster positive communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members
