Special Education Teacher | Arvada, Colorado

The assignment runs from August 11th to May 21st at a vibrant high school, supporting students who benefit from specialized instruction and tailored learning strategies.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with a Generalist Endorsement (5-21) is required.
• Must provide proof if the SPED License with the appropriate endorsement has been applied for; no other licenses or interim credentials will be considered.
• Deep proficiency in instructional practices and designing specially tailored instruction for diverse learners.
• Demonstrated mastery of the IEP process, including developing plans and collaborating with related service providers.
• Experience supporting students on alternative academic standards.
• Not accepting virtual (VOCO) or hybrid roles; this is an on-campus position.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to students with moderate and severe needs.
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service staff, and the broader IEP team to support student progress.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Use data-driven practices to assess student growth and modify instructional methods accordingly.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom culture.
