Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Special Education Teacher Certificate (CO SPED Certificate) required
  • Experience as a SPED Case Manager and/or Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct instruction and managing a designated special education caseload
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs in collaboration with staff and parents
  • Assessing student progress, adapting strategies, and maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in regular team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
  • Advocating for students’ needs and promoting inclusive practices within the school community
