Special Education Teacher - Arvada, CO

You will have the chance to support student growth in either a mild to moderate environment (Learning Specialist), work exclusively with students requiring significant support (SSN), or combine both for a broader impact. Assignments range from immediate starts through Winter Break (and possibly extension), or a structured 7-week position beginning late September.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21)
• Experience with middle school populations, preferably in Learning Services or SSN settings
• Proven ability to support students with mild/moderate disabilities or significant cognitive and communicative needs
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
• Ability to complete required fingerprinting and reference checks as part of district onboarding

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with varying abilities in an inclusive or self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote student engagement, independence, and academic achievement
• Maintain timely records and progress reports in accordance with district guidelines
