Special Education Teacher - Arvada, Colorado

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Colorado Special Education license (SpEd 0-8 required; SpEd K-12 or 5-21 considered if 0-8 is unavailable)
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with elementary or mixed-age students
• Strong understanding of inclusive and individualized instructional strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning atmosphere
• Ability to quickly build rapport with students, parents, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to a caseload of approximately 8-10 students
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Partner with general education teachers and specialists to promote student progress
• Maintain thorough documentation of student goals, achievements, and communications
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
