Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or related field
• Current state teaching certification in special education
• Experience with a variety of learning disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to students’ unique learning styles and needs
• Assess, track, and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Modify curriculum as necessary to support academic growth
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and participation
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and successfully implement agreed-upon accommodations
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
