As an Adapted Curriculum specialist, you will deliver specialized instruction, ensuring individualized education plan (IEP) implementation and working closely with dedicated classroom facilitators.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid teaching license with Adapted Curriculum certification required
  • Background in special education, specifically with functional skills or students requiring significant support
  • Experience delivering specialized instruction tailored to varied academic and functional skill levels
  • Comfortable collaborating with classroom staff in a co-teaching or facilitator-supported setting
  • Skilled in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Preferred: Experience managing paperwork and caseload tasks for special education students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students (6 students, first half of day) and high school students (7 students, second half of day) in functional skills settings
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of students’ IEPs, ensuring compliance and progress
  • Partner daily with classroom facilitators to optimize learning and behavior support
  • Handle the caseload paperwork and documentation required for assigned students
  • Adapt instructional materials and teaching techniques to meet diverse learning needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that celebrates student achievements
