Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with students who have mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans for various learners and needs
• Knowledge of current best practices in special education, including IEP development
• Patience, compassion, and creativity

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
• Modify curriculum and instructional techniques to support student growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and families to monitor progress and adjust supports
• Track student performance, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes achievement
