A rewarding opportunity awaits for skilled Autism Specialists to provide expert guidance and direct service within a network of schools across southern Oregon, within a 35-mile radius of Medford (Ashland through Eagle Point to Grants Pass).
You’ll collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate positive outcomes for students on the Autism spectrum—spanning general education settings to specialized, self-contained classrooms. This full-time, onsite contract position is ideal for those dedicated to making a broad impact across school communities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree and valid TSPC license required for Special Education Teachers, SLPs, or School Psychologists (SLPs may alternatively hold current Board Certification and state licensure).
- Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) with focused Autism expertise and 3+ years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply, ideally with public education and special education familiarity.
- Minimum of 3 years working with students with Autism across a range of ages, grades, and severity (including high-functioning and non-speaking students).
- Demonstrated experience conducting Autism-specific assessments and developing individualized supports based on findings.
- Deep understanding of best practices in Autism intervention and education.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Autism evaluations and translate findings into actionable educational strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEP development, attending meetings, and guiding program implementation.
- Consult with teachers and staff, providing training and support for inclusive practices and behavior management.
- Engage families as active partners in their child’s education and progress monitoring.
- Travel between school locations within the coverage area and maintain detailed documentation.
