Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Proven experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5)
• In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to modify curriculum and adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to fostering inclusion and academic progress for all students
• Commitment to working on-site with in-person instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, adapt, and deliver individualized lessons to meet students’ unique needs and learning goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain consistent communication with parents and caregivers
• Track student progress, document outcomes, and make data-driven instructional decisions
• Provide a safe, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure seamless learning
• Participate in professional development as needed
