Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for high school level
- Experience or strong interest in teaching English Language Arts within special education
- Capability to create and adapt lesson plans for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively alongside general education teachers and support staff
- Previous experience in high school settings is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored ELA instruction to high school students with varying learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development opportunities
