This full-time, contract position focuses on meeting the needs of young learners with developmental delays in a classroom that serves both general and adapted curriculum students. You'll have the support of two dedicated paraprofessionals, and will play a pivotal role in guiding students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations tailored to each student’s needs
  • Employ positive behavior supports and effective intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff to foster holistic student success
  • Track student progress, ensuring all compliance documentation is current and accurate
  • Differentiate instruction across Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies
  • Maintain a compassionate, structured, and engaging learning atmosphere

Desired Qualifications:

  • Georgia Special Education Adapted Curriculum Certification (general and adapted curriculum certifications accepted)
  • Certified in core academic content areas: Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies (please provide certifications)
  • Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs
  • Experienced in classroom management and behavior intervention techniques
  • Completion of three professional reference checks, with at least one recent supervisor (principal, AP, or coordinator)
