Middle School Special Education Teacher Position Near Athens, GA

Soliant is partnered with a school district near Athens, GA that is in need of a Middle School Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a full time position that involves working with students in a behavioral setting. Please see below for further details. 
Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education preferred 
• Valid Teaching License in the state of GA through GaPSC, with Special Education certification area 
• Additional certification in all subject areas (Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies)
• previous experience working in a behavioral or alternative education setting
  
• CPI or behavior de-escalation experience preferred

Position Details and Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students receiving services through the GNETS program.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
• Provide behavioral interventions and positive behavior supports.
• Collaborate with administrators, related service providers, families, and support staff.
• Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation.
• Differentiate instruction across multiple academic content areas.
• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
