Special Education Teacher - Auburn, Maine

Qualifications:

• Valid Maine (ME) teaching license with Special Education endorsement required
• Previous experience working with high school students in a special education setting is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to implement and adapt IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) effectively
• Commitment to providing engaging, inclusive, and student-centered instruction
• Willingness to work in person and contribute to a collaborative school environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to high school students as part of the ESY program
• Facilitate the development and implementation of IEPs for each student
• Track and communicate student progress and provide feedback to families and staff
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure cohesive learning experiences
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all program guidelines and requirements
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating classroom environment for all learners
