Two positions are available, working in-person with high school students. The ESY program runs Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am until 12:00pm, offering a rewarding part-time schedule for the summer term.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maine (ME) Special Education Teacher license required
- Prior experience working with high school students preferred
- Familiarity with ESY program structure is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to student needs
- Dedicated, compassionate, and organized approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to high school students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs
- Collaborate with ESY staff and related service providers to ensure continuity of services
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to student goals
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
