You will join a welcoming educational environment, working either in a resource-style classroom or supporting students on a 1:1 basis, depending on your background and preference. Resource classroom caseloads typically range from 15–20 students, while 1:1 positions manage up to 8–10 students. The weekly schedule is between 35 and 40 hours, providing stability and the ability to build strong relationships with your students.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Special Education (282) Teaching License required
  • Background in resource classroom or 1:1 case management preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, support staff, and administrators
  • Adaptable, patient, and ready to foster an inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction based on each student’s IEP
  • Employ creative strategies to promote academic and social-emotional growth
  • Maintain thorough, organized records and communicate progress regularly
  • Collaborate with educational team members—including therapists and general education teachers—to support student success
  • Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, respect, and independence
