Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification issued by the state of Maine
- Experience working with students with behavioral needs preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

- Strong classroom management skills across upper elementary and middle school grades

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction based on IEP goals, aligned with individual student needs
- Develop and modify lesson plans for students in grades 5–8 within a behavior classroom
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Implement behavioral strategies and supports to encourage positive student outcomes
- Create an inclusive, respectful classroom climate
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
